    Rossini said of this sacred work that it is ‘neither small nor solemn’. Rather, it is by turns boisterous, intense, dramatic and rhythmic: a choral tour de force. It stands out due to its unique combination of the composer’s operatic flair with the traditional elements of a Mass. Considered to be the most remarkable of his later compositions, it is not one to miss. Guildford Choral will be joined by four great soloists and Jonathan Willcocks for this masterpiece.
