Description: Singing Day: Vaughan Williams 'A Sea Symphony'
Our singing days are always extremely popular, with members and visitors alike. Join us for an exhilarating day, singing Ralph Vaughan Williams ‘A Sea Symphony’ under the inspiring leadership of our Musical Director, Jonathan Willcocks.

The cost is just £20 or £10 for students. If you already have your own copy of the music, please do bring it along. Otherwise, a copy will be provided for you on arrival at the hall at no extra cost - it will be helpful to us for planning if you would order your loan copy along with your ticket.

The day begins with registration at 10am, and the chance to meet and greet your fellow singers.  We will finish, as always, with an informal performance of the work, which friends and family are welcome to come and enjoy.

Tea and coffee are included in your ticket fee.  Please bring your own packed lunch, but there will be a selection of cakes and treats to purchase, and we will be holding a raffle.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at singingday@guildfordchoral.org

COVID GUIDANCE - Guildford Choral is determined to ensure that our Singing Day, like all of our activities, is organised to minimise the risk of Covid transmission.  At the time of writing, the national situation is fluid.  Covid levels have been high but appear to be declining.  The government has announced that the 'Plan B' measures are shortly to be lifted, and the public are being encouraged to use their own judgement in taking precautions.  We are keeping the situation under review, and will send details of the measures we expect of participants shortly before the Singing Day.  These may include a requirement to take a Lateral Flow Test before attending and/or the wearing of face coverings when not singing.  Please note, however, that it will not be possible to achieve significant social distancing.  Anyone attending must take personal responsibility for both their own health and that of others, bearing in mind that some people have greater concerns than others.
If you have any questions on this, please email singingday@guildfordchoral.org.
